My PC is often left doing tasks that are going to take a few hours, whether it is decoding video footage, or recording digital TV etc. I prefer not to leave my PC running all night once it has completed these tasks and so I wrote a small program to shutdown my PC at a time I can select. The Shutdown Timer is a very simple application to use.

The Shutdown Timer has 3 time views on it. The top one shows you the current time. The 2nd one shows you the time that the PC will shutdown and the 3rd one will show you how long till it shuts down. Simply drag the slider on the Shutdown Timer down the screen until the desired shutdown time is set. Click the Start button and leave the PC to finish the current task.
